Hertz 'Affordable' non-prepaid programme offers low cost car hire in the United States (including Hawaii and Alaska) and selected destinations around the World. 'Affordable' rates may be pre-booked, but are non-prepaid i.e. charges paid for at end of rental. A range of inclusions are available but typically cover:

• unlimited mileage (UM)
• loss damage waiver (LDW)
• liability insurance supplement (LIS)
• one insured driver
• vehicle licencing fees (VLF)
• airport fees
• sales taxes

Terms & Conditions

• 'Affordable' rates require minimum 8-hour advance reservation and must be booked prior to arrival in the United States.  Rates are subject to availability.

• Minimum rental age is 21 years in all states except for New York and Michigan, where the minimum rental age is 18. A daily surcharge applies to all renters under 25 years of age. 

• Unfortunately Nectar points cannot be earned on 'Affordable' programmes.
